Services
Massage Therapy
I believe the best massage is the massage that is designed for you. I listen to what your needs are and use a variety of techniques that give you a thorough, yet nurturing massage. I can add the use of hydrotherapy (in this case deep heat packs), Aromatherapy and Hot Stone Massage; all of which can amplify the benefits and effectiveness of the massage.

More Information:
Massage affects the whole person. Recipients of massage report feeling better health spiritually, emotionally, physically. The body has a natural tendency to move toward healing. A strong massage practitioner's key role is to help provide a pathway that better enables the body to achieve its own homeostasis. The body, spirit, emotion, mind are all connected such that if one is supported back into balance, the other aspects of the person will become more homeostatic as well.
Lactation Consultation
We know that there are hundreds of benefits to breastfeeding. Being an educated and skilled ally to a mom/family who wants to breastfeed/chestfeed is rewarding for me as a health professional, being part of a family's team of care. Studies show that when a mom /family have support with breastfeeding/chestfeeding, they are many times more successful, reduces stress and adds more joy to the breastfeeding/chestfeeding journey.

More About Me
I became a massage therapist in 1992, I graduated from the Brian Utting School of Massage. This program is known to be unmatched in the depth of education and experience. After I graduated from massage school, I was offered work in the school and then built a successful massage practice in Seattle, WA. I worked in a Chiropractor's office, a massage clinic and private practice.
In 2005 I graduated from the University of Washington with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing. I worked in the role of a Neonatal Intensive Care nurse for 4 years (and have worked in other nursing roles as well) and then became a Lactation Consultant. For the past 16 years, I have worked in AntePartum, Postpartum and in the NICU as a Lactation Nurse in the Family Maternity Center at Providence Medical Center in in Everett, WA. My love for birth and beyond started when I would stay up all night with our farm animals through their labor and birth. Also influential, was the experience of living on the intentional community called The Farm In Summerville Tn.) I was exposed to birth and postpartum practices revolutionized by Ina May Gaskin. When I had my own children I learned first hand the gift of having support after the birth of my children. I have a deep understanding and empathy for the needs, emotional capacity and challenges that families can be faced with. Supporting families in this way is a great honor and in some ways, I believe makes the world a little more whole.
From 2012-2013 I studied and practiced as a Le Leche League leader holding monthly meetings. I plan to bring back a monthly breastfeeding gathering to our community.
I feel so fortunate to be able to share these passions of mine and support you in your health.
